Shopping Day, 12 Jun 2014

We were busy this morning preparing our shopping list and getting to the minibus when it left for East Grinstead.  We are still trying to settle into the flat.  We bought a laundry basket, kitchen floor mat, plastic cereal bowls, and a memory foam mattress topper.  Plus, we picked up food, coming home with four bags full and the topper.  We got in, put things away, had lunch, and dressed for our shift.

Dad drinks cranberry grape juice to help keep his kidneys healthy and help stones break up and pass. We have not been able to find it over here.  So, we are doing the next best thing; buying both juices and mixing them.  We hope it will provide the same results as Oceanspray's variety.

The mattress topper had to re-size for 8-10 hours.  That would be just right by the time we got back.  It was still re-sizing when we got home so we moved it out to the living room floor for the night.

We had one baptism youth group at 7 p.m.  We were set up and ready for their arrival when they came in just before 7 p.m.  They had brought enough brothers and two sisters.  Sister Smith came to help and she was invaluable.  The session went smoothly with a family of three added in.  There was also a sister from America.  She is studying in London to be a pastry chef.

We finished up and again, were out the door about 9 p.m.  This time there was a full moon in the sky, a beautiful sight and reminder of God's power in creating the universe.

The weather has been a little warmer and the locals are saying we need rain to keep the foliage and lawns green.   The nights cool way down and an open window causes a blanket to be needed to sleep.
Products come in different languages here.

  1. Our memory foam topper is a back saver. Love it! I don't know how I'd sleep without it. Or maybe I do--terribly. I'm glad you were able to find one.

    Stay safe!
