A Day For A Birthday, 24 Jun 2014

Jashar is 12 today!  We made a face time call to him to wish him a happy day.  He was having a great time with friends at the movies and then hanging out.  He is looking forward to his dad ordaining him a deacon on Sunday.  We will sorely miss being there!

Elizabeth told us more about getting settled in their new home and attending their new ward.  Jashar will be off to scout camp in a couple of weeks and the others are making new friends.  She is planning a trip to her mom's with the children this week for a few days.

We began our week in the temple with the same assignment as last week.  Without the French saints, the attendance is low, topping out at 75 patrons for the day.  We felt more comfortable in our assignment which was very good since we are on our own this week.

We made a face time call to Katie and got to see baby Eliza.  Of course the other children were flitting in and out of the camera to say hello.  It was so nice to see all of them!  Katie is doing well and being a great little mama.  We do miss being there.

From Home:

Jay riding 415 miles from the Provo MTC to home in Logandale, NV.  It took 5 days and Hal was the follow car - feeding, taking care of drinks, and other needs.  Jay is in grey riding atop Uncle Tyler's bike and using Uncle Bob's gear.
