We had a five hour layover there in which we got lunch, Dad got a pedicure, and we spent
lots of time visiting with the Parkinsons. By the way, Nelson, their son-in-law, Shane Staten served
in the Oklahoma Tulsa mission and was at President Bednar's home several times as you were.
Do you know him?
Elder & Sister Parkinson from Idaho & us. |
The time passed on and it was soon time to board. We flew in a 747, seating more than 400 passengers. They gave us a blanket, pillow, socks, sleeping mask, ear plugs, and a headset to listen to the free movies you could choose from. They served us dinner and then 8 hours into the flight, they served us breakfast.
The flight was safe and we took walks around the cabin and enjoyed movies and got some sleep. Although I am not sure it was sleep since we were sitting up, not in jammies, and we could here the steady hum of the plane and an unhappy baby somewhere in the cabin.
